Virginia Tech College of Engineering researchers have spent the past year learning from their agriculture colleagues, by inviting volunteer farmers to the Virginia Tech campus to provide input on what kinds of technology would be most beneficial to them. The result? An autonomous grape-harvesting robot, a robotic glove that can assist farmers who have trouble gripping objects, a lightweight exosuit that lightens the pressure on farmers’ backs and knees, a drone that can detect and address drough
