The first few years I canned our maple syrup. Last year I tried the hot jars, hot syrup, flip to seal method and NOPE. We had a few jars that molded, a few that didn’t seal, so I’m glad I chose to can the rest. To me it’s NOT worth the risk. I’d rather have properly stored maple syrup with how time consuming it is to make. YES, I know mold on maple syrup can be normal. YES, I know that a lot of people don’t can it.
