HMS Audacious was the last King George V-class dreadnought battleship built for the Royal Navy. On Oct 27 1914 it hit a mine laid by German auxiliary minelayer SS Berlin. It slowly sank in front of passengers of the White Star ocean liner RMS Olympic, sister ship to the Titanic.
