Three Poles - Train Straightness & Rhythm Great exercise for horses before they start training more technically jumping lines, but equally useful for all horses to purely train straightness. Three poles on an angle to each other.. set the middle line at one standard canter stride = 12ft.. add an extra 2ft for each stride so they’re not standing on the poles IF you’re training a jumping horse. Dressage divas just keep it at 12ft as your working canter is generally shorter than a standard jumping
