Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi today at his residence, 7 Lok Kalyan Marg, in New Delhi, as India-China tensions continue to thaw.

In talks with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Wang Yi assured India of uninterrupted supplies of key raw materials, with particular emphasis on fertilisers and rare earths. The move is being cast as an attempt to offer supply-chain stability at a moment when India is working to secure reliable sources of strategic goods.

Ahead of his expected meeting with Xi Jinping at the SCO summit in Tianjin, Prime Minister Modi stressed the need for peace along the LAC and stable India-China ties, even as both sides work to repair relations strained since the Galwan clashes.
