In the latest development in Rosie O'Donnell and Donald Trump 's yearslong feud, which dates back to her days as a cohost on The View, Trump has threatened to revoke the actress and comedian's United States citizenship after she moved to Ireland amid the 2024 presidential election.

Immigration courts have no power over U.S. citizens. If Trump wanted to strip her of her citizenship, he’d have to go through the federal judiciary, which is independent and would likely rule on the side of O’Donnell, who has done no wrong except criticise Trump.
