Sheylla Gutierrez, 33, who was reported missing in California, was found dead in a forest on Aug. 16. Her body was found on Sunday, over the side of an embankment in Angeles National Forest.

The official cause of her death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office. The husband of a missing California woman who was found dead in the Angeles National Forest has fled to Peru, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department.
