A 17-year-old boy is dead after he was pulled into the ocean by a strong current at Hampton Beach in New Hampshire on Sunday, Aug. 24. His father went into distress trying to save him, but survived.

The 17-year-old was swimming with family members when he was pulled away from the shore. The boy's father, a 61-year-old, rushed into the water in an attempt to save his son. While the father attempted the rescue,
