Store management posted a sign on the door saying the Perkins Road location was closed due to damage from Francine. A Trader Joe's spokesperson said the store would re-open "as soon as possible". Details on the damage were not immediately available.

Hurricane Francine brought heavy rain to Louisiana after making landfall as a Category 2 storm on the coast. Rainfall from the storm caused flooding across southern Louisiana and left thousands without power.

After making landfall as a Category 2 storm, Hurricane Francine is estimated to have done around $1.5 billion worth of damage across its path of destruction in Louisiana and Mississippi.
