President Donald Trump warned Democratic mayoral primary winner and state Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani that if he becomes New York City mayor, he "better behave" or he will have "big problems," after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was asked if he's worried about Mamdani arresting him.

David Paterson, a former Democratic governor of New York, is calling for a shakeup in the New York City mayor's race. CBS News New York's Natalie Duddridge reports.

Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has asked sitting New York City Mayor Eric Adams to drop out of the mayoral race. Cuomo—who was forced to resign as governor in 2021 over allegations of sexual harassment—lost the Democratic primary to socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani on June 24,

Mayor Brandon Johnson stayed tight-lipped on what else the city might need to approve another race, promising “there will be a lot of things that we will discuss.”

"Far more people are going to be involved in this process than when it was initially birthed. That's my style of leadership," Johnson said.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson's administration is open to keeping the Chicago Street Race in the city, but NASCAR and city officials must agree to extend the two-year contract, and the economic impact of the race is still being evaluated.
