"Alligator Alcatraz" is the name posted in front of the hastily converted immigrant detention facility in the Florida Everglades.

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier, who first suggested building the $450 million-per-year facility at a small airport in the middle of the Everglades, garnered praise from conservative leaders around the country for the project.

"If somebody were to get out, there's nowhere to run, nowhere to hide — only the alligators and pythons are waiting," Uthmeier told "Fox Business."
