Comcast unveiled eight new members of the first board of directors of Versant Media Group, which will house the bulk of NBCUniversal’s cable networks and certain digital businesses, including Versant CEO Mark Lazarus.
Comcast on Thursday announced the expected board members of its cable networks spinout, Versant. They come from backgrounds in media, technology, finance and other industries, according to Versant.
Versant is on track to be spun out from Comcast before the end of 2025, Lazarus confirmed. The assets held by the new company generated about $7 billion in revenue last year.
Mark Lazarus, who's leading Versant, announced that MSNBC would trade its famous name for a new one: My Source News Opinion World, or MS Now.
