A tornado with winds between 90 and 130 kilometres an hour touched down in Fergus on Sunday night.The Northern Tornadoes Project at Western University confirmed the tornado after visiting the town on Monday and doing a ground and drone survey of the area.

Officials with the service's office in White Lake Township said Monday that an EF0 tornado touched down Sunday at about 6:56 p.m., southwest of Holly in Oakland County. It had an estimated peak wind of 70 mph,

Storms that brought gusty winds to mid-Michigan on Sunday spawned a weak tornado in southwest Gratiot County, the National Weather Service said.
