The Justice Department has snubbed Senate Democrats demanding the release of the Epstein files in its latest move to slow-walk the release of any information about the biggest scandal to hit Donald Trump’s second term.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer said his “goal” is to release files related to Jeffrey Epstein quickly once the Justice Department starts turning them over Friday, but stressed they want to be careful not to do anything that could harm victims.

The judge wrote that "the information contained in the Epstein grand jury transcripts pales in comparison" to the investigation materials already in the Justice Department's hands. He called the DOJ's motion "a diversion," questioning its necessity and any real public benefit.
