Democrats in the state Senate have managed to hold on to their majority two elections after winning it back in 2018, bucking the dysfunctional reputation they gained the last time they were in control.

With 34 seats up for election Tuesday night, the balance of power in the United States Senate is up for grabs. Democrats currently have the majority in the Senate. Democrats hold 47 of the chamber's 100 seats.
