Tottenham Hotspur faced a disheartening loss against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup final on August 13. After being tied 2-2 at the blow of the final whistle, the match went straight to a penalty shootout, where the French side bagged a 4-3 victory over Spurs.

Thomas Frank hailed a “perfect” performance from his Tottenham side over 80 minutes but was left to rue a dramatic finale to the UEFA Super Cup. Spurs had been the better side against Paris Saint-Germain and with 85 minutes on the clock held a 2-0 lead in Udine.
