GameStop will give you an extra $50 for your old console this week if you're buying a PS5 to counteract today's price increase.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's physical edition sold out for PS5 and Xbox Series X shortly after the game launched on April 24. The $50 standard edition remained difficult to find for months on PS5 and Xbox Series X, but Amazon has copies for both platforms as of August 22.
Shortly after Sony announced its PS5 price increases, the store took to its social media pages, proclaiming, “GameStop has your back.” It adds that a new deal will let players “take that $50 back” by granting an extra $50 bonus to anyone who trades in a PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, or Nintendo Switch toward the purchase of a new PS5.

If you're still looking for one, you'll have a chance to pick up the PS5 at your local GameStop store very soon. GameStop will have PS5 bundles in stock tomorrow, August 19, and Saturday, August 20.
