Burnley are closing in on the permanent signing of right-back Kyle Walker from Manchester City. The England international, 35, is taking medical checks before completing what the newly-promoted Premier League club will regard as a significant coup.

Burnley have signed defender Kyle Walker from Manchester City on a two-year contract. The right-back completed his medical on Friday and will work again with head coach Scott Parker, who he played alongside at Tottenham Hotspur for two seasons.
