Prized free-agent signing Juan Soto went yard in his first at-bat with the New York Mets during spring training on Saturday.

He hit second in the order Saturday, between Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso, and drilled a 426-foot homer on a 2-1 pitch from left-hander Colton Gordon. The following inning, Soto drove in another run with a groundball.

Soto homered off of Houston Astros pitcher Colton Gordon during the bottom of the first inning, giving him the first home run of his time with the Mets. “Get used to it,” the team account shared on social media after Soto homered.
