The British Grand Prix has traditionally been a place where British drivers have done well. Some of this is just a numbers game: there have been many fine Britons in F1 and many of them have driven in quick F1 cars.

The two McLaren teammates have clashed in recent weeks on the track. First came the Canadian Grand Prix where the two were battling for fourth in the closing laps. As they raced into Turn 1 Norris tried to get by Piastri, making contact with his teammate’s rear and losing his front wing in the process, ending his race.
