Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels hasn't said much regarding the prolonged absence of his top receiver, Terry McLaurin. With Washington just over two weeks away from the beginning of the 2025 season, McLaurin is no closer to a new long-term deal with the Commanders. Fortunately for Washington, he is under contract for 2025.

With a trade request being sent by McLaurin over his frustration regarding a lack of movement, we don't see a way where Terry doesn't play for the Commanders in 2025. Because the franchise is all in on 2025 with the signings of Deebo Samuel and Laremy Tunsil,

About 20 minutes into practice, McLaurin walked out of the Commanders’ facility in a hooded sweatshirt, shorts and cap and ambled down the hill to the practice field. He stood on the sideline for 11-on-11 drills, then huddled with Commanders wideouts after practice ended.
